| Repairs
from Tornado Damage Now Complete
HOSPERS,
IA, -- Just three days after a tornado caused structural damage to one
of its buildings, Den Hartog Industries is once again fully operational.
Minutes
after the tornado hit on Saturday afternoon, employees and people from
the community of Hospers were on the scene, cleaning up debris and covering
the the exposed parts of the roof with plywood.
By
Monday morning, contractors arrived to begin exterior repairs. With the
help of the Den Hartog Industries maintenance team, all repair work was
completed by Monday evening. Tin and shingles were replaced on the portions
of the roof torn open by the tornado, and an entire wall in the mold-building
portion of the metal fabrication division was replaced. There was minimal
interior damage to the office portion of the building, and everything
was cleaned up inside by Monday afternoon.
John
G. Den Hartog, Jr., President
and CEO, showed his gratitude to all
those who showed a concern for the company and its employees and for those
who lent a hand in the quick recovery.
“We
want to express our appreciation to everyone who worked hard to finish
the repairs so quickly, " Den Hartog said. "We also appreciate
the many offers of help we received. We are happy to report the company
is now back at 100%."
Repairs at the Den Hartog Industries
facility in Northwest Hospers were completed just in time for the first
snowfall of the season on Tuesday, November 15.
